Weddings at Fordoun are a truly special occasion. Weddings at Fordoun take place at the Fordoun Farm Village wedding venue in the Midlands and boast the most exquisite venue and facilities with absolutely picturesque views to make your special day that much more unforgettable.
Situated on one of the oldest farms in the Natal Midlands. The Spa, Boutique Hotel and Restaurant have been established by the Bates Family out of the Old Dairy and Farmyard Buildings. Some of the Buildings are in stone dating back to the late 1860’s in which the Byrne Settler William Taylor lived and Farmed. As most of the original settlers came from Perthshire, the names of many farms in the area are Scottish. Fordoun is named after a loch in Scotland.

With panoramic views of the Drakensberg, in a tranquil country setting the feeling of romance is almost tangible. Easily accessible from both Durban and Gauteng, Fordoun has all the makings of a spectacular wedding venue, boasting superb facilities, accommodation and activities to ensure an unforgettable, stress free wedding experience.
Our stunning venue and chapel are ideal for an elegant stylish country wedding accommodating up to 200 guests. The newly renovated barn situated at the Fordoun Farm Village with breath-taking views of the majestic Drakensburg Mountains, is equipped with a kitchen, reception, a serving area, lounge, two bars, a dance area, stage fireplace and toilets.
CATERING
The venue hire fee includes tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, glassware, table setting and preparation of hall according to your choice, co-ordinator on your wedding day, ice, barmen and the bridal suite for one night.
The venue hire fee does not include catering, waiters, decor, flowers, alcohol, DJ and photographers, guest accommodation (there is space for 44 guests in the Hotel and 30 guests in the Self-Catering Chalets).
With the hotel being able to offer superb cuisine, magnificent garden and interior settings for wedding photographs, a comprehensive menu of spa offerings and facilities, and exclusive accommodation in individually appointed room sand self-catering chalets, we are able to ensure that your magical event runs like clockwork.
We are also the ideal venue for bridal showers and honeymooners.
