Fordoun Spa is in the heart of Nottingham Road, Midlands Meander and boasts a team of experts that include skilled masseuses, Reiki and Bio-energy specialists, a traditional African Healer and highly trained aestheticians.
The spa features internationally acclaimed treatments such as the rasul, (a Turkish steam and clay treatment room), a saline floatation pool, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, hydrotherapy, and two couple’s treatment suites with hydrotherapy baths.
Treatments at Fordoun Spa include:

Part of the holistic relevance of everything at Fordoun has led to the development of the Fordoun signature range of Ndlovu products, created in conjunction with Dr Elliot Ndlovu, herbalist and ethno botanist, who is a traditional African Healer and Inyanga, and a director of Fordoun Spa.
Under his guidance, a number of products have been carefully created from indigenous traditional healing plants, especially for Fordoun. The range includes scrubs, shower gels, massage oils, bath salts, body butters and teas.
Fordoun stocks and uses teh following products namely, Dermalogica, Teres D’Afrique and Thalgo, which are exclusive up market international beauty treatment ranges. Dermalogica is a world-renowned facial range, which caters for all skin types young and old.
Terres D’Afrique is a certified organic skin range, made from powerful botanical ingredients, sourced from all over the African Continent. This luxurious face and body product is suitable for all skin types, particularly sensitive skin and is a truly holistic experience with African rituals included with each treatment.

Absolutely, many of our clients use their time at the spa to get away from everyone else and to spend time concentrating on their own individual needs.
Your comfort is our business. Our therapists are there to make sure that your stay at the Spa is comfortable, so do not hesitate to inform them of any discomforts or enquiries that you may have.
No children under the age of 12 are allowed into the Spa.
We suggest that you come dressed comfortably. Remember that you have to leave in what you arrived in, so make sure your dress code will suit the relaxed mood you’ll be in after your treatments.
These days more and more male clients are making an effort to groom themselves. We promote a balance of men and women at the Spa and have designed facials specifically for men.
Be sure to let your therapist know if you suffer from any mild to severe conditions such as high/low blood pressure, diabetes, surgical procedures in last three months, heart disease and chemotherapy in the last six months as some treatments many not be suitable. Your therapist needs to know as much about you in order to give you the best treatment possible.
The Spa has specially formulated both express treatments and packages that cater for the specific needs of men.
The Spa is the perfect place to relax and recover. It is vital that you inform your therapist that you are pregnant. There are only few treatments that we do not recommend at certain times of pregnancy.
We encourage you to ask any question and voice any queries or concerns you may have with your therapist. The open communication is to aid your comfort level, allowing you to receive full benefits of your treatment. Do not be afraid to let your therapist know.
The therapists use professional draping techniques to ensure your privacy at all times. Although some treatments are best performed with minimal clothing, every action is taken to ensure discretion.
Massage is not recommended if your medical condition may worsen due to the treatment or the condition is contagious. If you are unsure about your condition, please contact us and we will either recommend specific treatments or refer you to a general practitioner.
Many people are surprised to find that waxing does not hurt as much as expected. The sensation tends to be more painful in sensitive areas but each person reacts differently. Your therapist will do her utmost best to make the experience as fast and painless.

Kindly note that we operate as a day spa from Monday to Friday and as a hotel spa from Friday to Sunday.
Sunday to Thursday 08h00 – 18h00
Friday to Saturday 08h00 – 19h00
We are open on all Public Holidays (expect Christmas Day) unless otherwise stated.
GUIDELINES
Booking in advance is essential.
Kindly arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment(s)
Kindly ensure mobile phones are switched off when entering the Spa.
Please bring bathing suits.
Due to the nature of the spa environment, children under the age of 12 years old are not permitted in the spa or indoor pool area.
Please alert your therapist for the following contra-indications:
- High blood pressure or heart conditions
- Muscle or joint injuries
- Allergy to iodine or any product allergies
- Pregnancy, Epilepsy and Diabetes
- Have experienced surgical procedure in last 3 months or undergoing Chemotherapy
- Fordoun Spa is not responsible for any theft, damage, loss or misfortune that may occur whilst on our premises.
CANCELLATION POLICY
24 hours advance notice is required for cancellations and rescheduling, otherwise the full amount will be charged.
Late arrival will result in a reduction of time whilst the full treatment fee will apply.
