Fordoun and surrounds … a symbiotic relationship
Posted on: May 10, 2017, in News
When you google a symbiotic relationship, it is divided into three different types. Following on from this, Fordoun has a mutual symbiotic relationship with the local community. Both parties benefit from the relationship. And both parties are very happy with the relationship.
The first example of these symbiotic relationships are the Fresh Fordoun Farm eggs available at the local Spar (The Bow and Arrow). Fordoun and the local Spar are working together to make these fresh farm eggs available by stocking them in the spar. They are keeping their carbon footprint as low as possible by supplying them individually and unwrapped and also supplying recycled egg boxes for ease of transport.
Local, environmently friendly, fresh, natural….. go Fordoun go…..

Another example of the symbiotic relationship Fordoun has with the local community is their involvement in helping a local girl, Aspen, to fulfil her dream is joining her church on a mission to India.
They say it takes a village to raise a child …
Our very own Aspen Henriksen has been chosen, as part of a small church missionary group, to visit, council and help the abused, forgotten and traded children of India.
Lisa Bobbert, as a fellow Christian and a mother, is supporting this wonderful cause. As a well-known actress, singer and performer (amongst many other things) she is going to join us in the midlands for a ladies tea and enthrall us with her motivational talk “Is this it”.
To God there are no physical boundaries … children are children. And they need love and help.
An inspirational talk, lovely tea and cake and a beautiful midlands autum morning in a stunning venue ….
We are so lucky to have a speaker of this caliber join us at the beautiful Fordoun Farm …. make sure you do not miss it …
The local Rosetta Nottingham Road conservancy had their inaugural Run and Ride on Sunday. It was a beautiful morning in the Midlands with the track winding through the KZCF, Fordoun Farm and local land owners farm lands.
The event has been declared an unequivocal success, and the beauty of the route as “one of a kind”. Again showing the symbiotic relationship Fordoun shares with the local community.

Fordoun is proud to be an active part of Nottingham Road and the broader midlands community, and the community thanks them for that …..
