Fordoun … myth buster …

Three myths about winter shattered by Fordoun ….

  1. “Nothing happens in winter” … Your first step will be too look at the Fordoun website www.fordoun.com and select one of the many activities in the area.  These range from mountain biking and fishing to flying and crafting, and of course there is the famous Fordoun Spa and restaurant ……  The Midlands has a range of activities, and exploring is not even on the list.  Find cosy restaurants and coffee stops, quaint shops and locally handmade products.  The Midlands Meander has them all and explore it with a comfy, cosy and centrally located Fordoun as your base.  Even the farmers in the area are getting ready for the spring with land preparations, repairs and much needed maintenance. Also look at … https://www.sa-venues.com/things-to-do/kwazulunatal/region/natal-midlands/ ….https://www.travelground.com/blog/family-guide-midlands-meander … and many many more
  2. “The winters are too cold”….. yes  …. but they are also crispy in the mornings and warm during the day.  Day time temperatures rise up into the 30’s at times so after  your fun, busy day you can retreat back to your room and get comfy and cosy for the evening.  The brittle light in the morning and the long cold clear evenings make it perfect for photographers – it is no longer “the golden hour” but couple of hours ….
  3. “Nothing is beautiful in winter” …. Just look at a few photos and you will believe differently …. Winter has it’s own unique stark beauty…

welcome to Fordoun …

And of course there is the fabulous Fordoun winter special ….
