February, the month of love ….

We have all heard again and again that February is the month of love, and I hope you have booked somewhere special to take that special someone but spare a thought for the poor singles in South Korea. They wait two whole months to make sure they are not on someone’s valentines list. Then on 14 April, they all get together and celebrate “Black Day” by eating a bowl of Jjajangmyun (black-bean paste noodles). But do not feel to sorry for the Koreans as they celebrate a love day on the 14th of every month (12 love days a year) and these range from the “Black Day” through to the “White Day”
The other monthly days on the 14th are: Diary Day (January), Rose Day (May), Kiss Day (June), Silver Day (July), Green Day (August), Photo Day (September), Wine Day (October), Movie Day (November), Hug Day (December).
