Autumn at Fordoun …

The midlands in the autumn …
Crisp mornings followed by warm days, beautiful sunsets and cool nights. This is the midlands in the autumn. The leaves are starting to turn into their autumn golds and cover the roads in a carpet of leaves. Mist rolls in during late evening and encloses the midlands in its own ball of cotton wool – seeming to take you far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This is tranquility at its finest.
Fordoun is the perfect place to share this time of the year. Whether it be at the spa and hotel or in one of the self catering chalets, you can experience and explore all we have to offer. Bike and walking tracks, spa packages, fine dinning, fishing and birding, the options are endless with the helpful staff wanting to make your stay as perfect as possible. This is pure country class!
Fordoun is still a working farm, but farm operations have slowed down a lot over the years and the focus has shifted to the hotel, spa, venue and cottages. Fordoun has kept a country feel, and many of the farm buildings, used over 30 years ago during its time as a Nottingham Road dairy farm, have been adapted to suit today’s needs. The present day spa has been laid out over the dairy milking parlor and shows perfect fusion of state-of-the-art facilities with the timeless tranquility of the past.
If you are after a bit more adventure to add to your pampering, Dr Elliot Ndlovu is an inspiration and gives guests the wisdom and healing powers of Africa. He can also be your guide during our Thendela Village cultural tour.
Whatever your heart desires, Fordoun will try to provide it ….
Come and share autumn with us …
