COVID-19 Update for Travellers

Dear valued Fordoun guest,

At all times, and especially in this uncertain climate, we want to assure you that your safety and wellbeing is our highest priority.

We are continuing to monitor and react to the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as it evolves, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to provide every guest, partner and employee with the highest standard of service and care, so you can plan and travel with confidence. Our staff are continouosly updated with developments and we are meeting regularly to ensure that staff are empowered with all the correct information so that they can make good choices.

As you would expect from us, our team has enhanced a robust cleaning and hygiene standards using the latest COVID-19 guidance from global and governmental health bodies.

We are following the recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centres for Disease Control (CDC) and implemented extra precautionary measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all to enjoy.

We have implemented and committed to the following protocols:

  • SABS approved linen handling and sanitation
  • Daily disinfecting of all bathrooms
  • Daily disinfecting of all floors
  • Daily disinfecting of all surfaces
  • Daily disinfecting of all door handles
  • Hand sanitisers are made available to all guests and staff
  • Increased the frequency and intensity of cleaning practices in high density and common use areas & all rooms – with approved disinfectants
  • We have also implemented a stringent education process to ensure that all staff are following a strict hygiene protocol
  • Temperature testing of all staff on duty

In addition, Fordoun is committed to providing you with travel planning flexibility as this situation continues to change.

That being said we hope that business continues as normal however, in order to assist with protecting our guests going forward we have added the following to our cancellation policy:

Confirmed bookings for which we have received a deposit or full payment, will be secured and your deposit/payment held in credit for you should you decide it unsafe to travel.  Bookings can be amended up to the end of November 2020. Please note only one amendment to travel dates may be made and should the season change to a higher season, the new rate will apply.

Any travel changes to bookings within 14 days of the travel period will incur 100% cancellation fees.

Please be assured that we will continue to monitor closely the evolving nature of this situation, respond to up-to-the-minute advice, and do everything possible to support our guests, partners, and team throughout this period.  Of course, we want to continue as much as possible as normal with out putting any individuals at any risk.
